Our Work
IODE City of Lakes Chapter is a women's charity group based in Sudbury, Ontario. We are focused on supporting the Greater Sudbury community through our community service, education support and citizenship programs. We also take part in initiatives led by our Provincial and National Chapters that benefit Canadians across the country.
Community Service
IODE City of Lakes helps those in need in the Greater Sudbury community in a variety of ways. This includes care packages for new mothers; toiletries for those in the hospital and nursing homes without family support; buckets of cleaning products for women leaving Genevra House; and Christmas gifts for families supported by the Children's Aid Society and Foyer Notre Dame House youth shelter.

Education Support
IODE City of Lakes Chapter's Education programs encourage a love of learning and good citizenship among students in the Greater Sudbury community. We award bursaries to students in elementary school, college and university. We also purchase books for local libraries and provide books as part of our care packages for new mothers in need.

Citizenship
IODE City of Lakes Chapter's
Citizenship programs celebrate exemplary service and dedication to our
country. Our Police Community Relations Award recognizes an officer
dedicated to supporting Greater Sudbury youth. We also support veterans
through the Poppy Fund and take part in projects of opportunity, like
supporting refugees and celebrating Canada's 150th birthday
