Poppy Fund

IODE has a long history of supporting Canada's Armed Forces and Veterans. The City of Lakes Chapter makes an annual donation to the Legion Poppy Fund, which is used for the care and benevolent support of Veterans and their dependents. 

Police Community Relations Award

Every fall, IODE City of Lakes Chapter recognizes an officer from the Sudbury Regional Police Services who has gone above their expected duties to work with youth in the community. The award recipient is presented with a cheque to put toward their program of choice involving youth.

Projects of Opportunity

Each year presents Canadians with new reasons to celebrate, and new challenges to overcome. IODE City of Lakes Chapter commits itself to providing support when new needs arise, and to join in the celebration of all we have to be thankful for. Recently, we offered support to new refugee families welcomed into the Sudbury community, and we will be offering a special bursary in honour of Canada's 150th birthday celebration.
